Certified Soil Food Lab Technitian
Justin Whittaker is a microbiologist and mycophile from a long lineage of midwestern farmers. Justin is a certified lab technician who studied at Dr. Elaine Ingham’s Soil Food Web School. He owns Arctic Roots Analytics biological soil lab, which focuses on micro-organism analysis of soil, compost and compost teas.
The lab strives to provide farmers with an informational map of their soil food web to help achieve optimal nurturant cycling and soil regeneration.
Justin has lived in Alaska for the past decade but came up for seasonal tree planting for nearly a decade previously. He managed two local Interior farms. He’s passionate about sustainable farming and how food can be medicine.
